Clownfish in its anemone


Clownfish or anemonefish are fishes from the subfamily Amphiprioninae in the family Pomacentridae. They all form symbiotic mutualisms with sea anemones. This Clownfish in the photograph is native to warmer waters of the Red Sea and can only be found in the red sea. Clownfish live at the bottom of the sea in sheltered reefs or in shallow lagoons, usually in pairs. Scientific name: Amphiprion species
