Family mixtures did not reduce the YRATE when compared to the susceptible families. In fact, the family mixtures had greater YRATE values. Over all families, YRATE decreased as distance from initial infection focus increased. DISCUSSION Even though the quantity and quality of initial inoculum was similar, BSNB severity levels were much higher in Georgia than in Mississippi. 8.
