Almond is native to the Middle East but cultivated in many other regions like here in La Palma, one of the Canary Islands, where it flowers from mid January to the end of February. Der Mandelbaum stammt ursprünglich aus dem mittleren Osten, wird heute aber in vielen Regionen wie hier auf der Kanaren-Insel La Palma kultiviert, wo er von Mitte Januar bis Ende Februar blüht.
