Cheetah stalking prey in wet grass

This is a shot of a male Cheetah on the look-out for a meal during a hunt lasting many hours at Kwara on the edge of Botswana's Okavango delta during the Emerald season. He made numerous failed attempts to catch warthogs, common reedbuck and impala, before finally killing late in the evening. It was a wet day and the wind kept changing direction, so the cheetah's scent was often picked up.
