MEDITERRANEAN SEA (June 26, 2018) The aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) transits the Mediterranean Sea. Truman is underway for a scheduled deployment as part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group. With Harry S. Truman as the flagship, deploying strike group assets include staffs, ships and aircraft of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 8, Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 28 and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1; as well as the Sachen-class German navy frigate FGS Hessen (F 221).
