Galapagos Hawk (Buteo galapagoensis) perched on iron rich rock Rabida Galapagos Islands Pacific Ocean South America May

Galapagos Hawk (Buteo galapagoensis) is classed as vulnarable with only about 150 mating pairs. They used to be on all the islands of Galápagos. Due to human disturbance, a dwindling food supply and predation by humans, they are now extinct on the islands of Baltra, Daphne, Floreana, San Cristobal, and Seymour.
