In person and complexion Mr. Vanderpool had made successful vis-its to the great Codroy River, their pre-sent objective point. This time Mr-Vanderpool had preceded the party, tak-ing with him a stock of supplies, tents,and a full camping outfit. Prior to thearrival of the other two members he hadestablished himself, a guide, and a cookon the banks of the Cascade Pool.
