Inscription: "Tausende Kriegsgefangene Wurden hier von der ss Ermordet" or "Thousands of prisoners of war were murdered here by the SS". The SS-Shooting Range Hebertshausen is an extension site linked to the Dachau Concentration Camp nearby. It was at the Hebertshausen shooting range that over 4,000 Soviet prisoners from Dachau were executed. Quite a lot remains from the original range including outbuildings shooting range and pistol range. The pistol range, where the prisoners were executed, is quite a sobering place to see.
