190418-N-UI104-0759 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 18, 2019) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88) and the Royal Australian Navy Adelaide-class guided-missile frigate HMAS Melbourne (FFG 05) practice Visit Board Search and Seizer (VBSS) on each other’s vessels during a cooperative deployment. Preble and Melbourne are participating in a cooperative deployment in order to improve on maritime capabilities between partners. Preble is deployed to the 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. (
