Address Dept. 6 equivalent of fifty square feet of hot water radiation, while fully 200 square feet will be required to heat the dwell- ing and twice as much will be needed in the greenhouse. It would be possible, of course, to place a hot water coil in a hot air furnace, but even this would not supply more than fifty square feet of radiation. Under the circumstances, we would leave the hot air furnace in place and put in a small hot water boiler. If the greenhouse is to be heated to 60 de- grees, the boiler should have a rating for 600 square feet. In the greenhouse we would use three 2%-inch flow pipes and twelve 2-inch returns. In case a boiler is put in to heat both residence and greenhouse, it should have a rating of approximately 900 square feet. For places of this size we prefer hot water to steam. While the house could be run in either direction without mak- ing any great difference, we ordinarily prefer to have even-span houses run north and south. TOEONTO, ONT. SetaU Club Meeting.
