SELFRIDGE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Mich.— Megan Baker, a Department of Agriculture wildlife biologist assigned to the 127th Wing Safety team, handles a great-horned owl after applying a federal metal band on its leg on July 13, 2018. The tag enters the bird into a database, allowing biologists to track its habits and range. Baker captures, tags and safely relocates aviary wildlife in the vicinity of Selfridge as part of the Air Force’s safety program, bird/wildlife aircraft strike hazards (BASH). Air Force
