Condi- tions are improving, however, and prices liave stiffei\ed. Roses have decreased in supply, caus- ing prices to be more stable. Carna- tions continue to he jjlentiful and can be had at from $4 to $(3 i)er luindred. Snapdragons are in evidence and move fairly well at $10 ])er hundred. Calla and Easter lilies are numerous. The former sell at $15 to $20 per hun- dred, while the latter bring from $1 to $2 per dozen. Many sweet peas are in the market at 73 cents to $ per hun- dred. Only a few calendul;is are seen. Dar- win tulips are conspicuous and attrac- tive in display windows. Calceolarias are includecl among the potted plants offered. Blooming bed- ding stock is also being offered, but, as yet, does not meet witli heavy sale. Blooming pansy plants sell readily. Ferns are beginning to meet with more active demand. Various Notes. Herbert Tons, with Temperley's, recently married to Mrs. Olive Ramsay. of Fort Wayne, Ind. Baur & Steinkamp are beginning to cut gladioli. This firm has begun to plant carnations out in the field. O. E. Steinkamp and E. E. Temperley are taking part in the Murat extrava- ganza this week. The majority of florists are adhering closely
