NV hen the plants are about two inches high, they should be set out four or five inches apart in another hot-bed, or removed into small pots, allowing a single plant to a pot. About the middle of May the plants may be set out in the open ground ; they are planted for early crops on light, sandy Boil, at a distance of three feet apart, in hills in which a goodTshovelfia of rotted manure should be mixed. On heavy soil, which is not suited for an early crop, they should be planted four feet apart. Water freely at the time of transplanting, and shelter from the sun for a few days until the plants are established. Sufficient plants for a small garden may be started by sowing a few seeds in a shallow box or flower-pot, ana placing it in a sunny window of the room or kitchen. MATCHLESS TOMATO.
