Policemen load up their van with riot shields during the protesters peacefully sat-in at the Hong Kong International Airport for the 5th consecutive day until later in the evening where various events led to intense confrontation and violence with the police. The sit-in led to mass flight cancellations and aimed to raise international awareness of protesters' fight against the extradition bill and of police brutality at the protest.
