Treatment. — Nicotine sul-phate (see page 29) and kero-sene soap emulsion (see page29) are good remedies if usedwhen the insects first beginto attack the plants in earlyspring. The plant-lice can also bebeaten off the vines on to theground. This can best bedone with a brush of smalltwigs or a pine bough withthe leaves left on. On a warm,sunny day the lice are killed by. >et b the hot ground on which they fall and few, if any, everthe plants.
