Demonstration in Paris to support the Irish-flagged Rachel Corrie carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Paris, June 3, 2010 : Pro-Palestinian supporters gathered near the Luxembourg Park to defend the Irish-flagged Rachel Corrie carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza. The Rachel Corrie vessel, named after an American woman killed in Gaza back in 2003, left Malta on Monday with fifteen activists on board, among which Irish Mairead Corrigan-Maguire, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1976, and Irish former UN diplomat, Denis Hallyday. This boat transports 1 200 tons of medical equipment, rolling chairs, school supplies and cement.
