Ican only mention with tears the con-temptible vandalism perpetrated on ourlittle chapel at Sault Ste. Marie. Thewindows were smashed, the sacred vesselsand vestments thrown out, crushed anddestroyed, the missal torn into a thousandfragments, and, after the good FatherHaetscher, without a word of complaint,on the eve of All Saints, repaired the dam-age as best he could, the whole building.
