brickwork details on the pierhead building cardiff waterfront wales

The recently restored Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay is a beautiful reminder of the history of Cardiff’s dock area that has been transformed from one of the world’s most important ports, Tiger Bay, into a modern, waterside development that cleverly juxtaposes new and old architecture. The red brick building, which is Grade 1 listed, was designed by William Frame and was built in 1897.
