The image is of the Southern Railways Battle of Britain Class 4-6-2 steam locomotive 34067 Tangmere approaching Garsdale station in the Cumbrian Dales on the famous Settle to Carlisle line. Built in 1947 Tangmere is named after the West Sussex village of Tangmere and the WWII airfield that was the base for the famous RAF Group Captain fighter pilot Douglas Bader who lost both his legs during the war but continued to fly.
