Case dei Mazzanti with its facade frescoes. Details of the facade. Piazza delle Erbe, Verona, Veneto, northern Italy, Europe - march 9, 2016

Apparently in centuries gone by Verona was known as the 'painted city', such was the number of frescoes adorning its buildings. Sadly few of these remain, and the Case Mazzanti is clearly the best example. Definitely one of the better features of the Piazza delle Erbe and worth a look and a photo (if you can get by the dreadful stalls). There is a good cafe on the ground floor of the building (Brasserie Fillipini) which allows for good quality people watching.
