Anti Aung San Suu Kyi protesters gathered by the Holocaust Memorial, as Myanmar’s leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, arrived this morning at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the first of a three-day hearing, where she is expected to defend her country’s military accusations against genocide. In 2017, Rohingya were forced to flee across the border into neighbouring Bangladesh. In 1991 Aung San Suu Kyi collected the Nobel Peace Prize and spent 15 years under house arrest, her present stance has been to deny any ethnic violence perpetrated against the Rohingya.
