Staff Sgt. Eric Carpenter of the APE team stabilizes a core sample taken from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, during a recent airfield pavement evaluation provided in response to flooding from Hurricane Matthew. The team travelled to the base to assess the runway for structural integrity concerns from the flooding.
