Stunning glass-fronted Skuelpilhus housing Royal Theatre Copenhagen Denmark Scandinavia

The stunning Skuelpilhus, housing Copenhagen's Royal Theatre, was designed by Boje Lundgaard and Lene Tranberg and opened in 2008. It pioneers the ecological dimensions of design, by ingeniously converting the body heat from the previous night's audience into liquid form and reusing it as underfloor heating. Recycled water from the adjacent harbor is used to cool the building.
