V&A reveals a new garden installation created by robots. Called Elytra Filament Pavilion, the insallation is the result of four years of research and is made of 40 hexagonal cells created by a robot during a 4-month process. The hexagons are made of carbon fibres and resin-soaked glass. The pavilion was created by experimental architect Achim Menges, Jan Knippers and Thomas Aeur, in a collaboration with the University of Stuttgart.
