Anthias fish and cleaner shrimp. This is a white- banded cleaner shrimp (Lysmata amboinensis). It is using its long feelers and appendages to clean algae and other parasitic organisms from the skin and mouth of the fish. This symbiotic relationship benefits both the fish and the shrimp. The fish is cleaned of parasites, and the shrimp obtains food. A shrimp is a crustacean, an invertebrate animal that an external shell. An anthias is a small reef fish found in tropical waters.
