Kievan princess Olga the Saint Equal-to-Apostles was born near Pskov. She was the first Christian and first female ruler of Russia. Her grandson Vladimir the Saint is shown as a young boy beside his grandmother. Prince Vladimir the Saint Equal-to-Apostles baptized Kievan Rus in 988.
