Annette von Droste-Hülshoff (1797 - 1848), a seal with ivory handle of the German poetess Coat of arms carved in brass, the shield with a winged fish, above a helmet and fish trap. The ivory handle is probably from an earlier period and shows a three-dimensionally carved female with a child on her arm and two at her feet. Height 69 mm. Enclosed a gilt-edged album with about 20 poems of various artists, written in ink, and different handwritings, one poem presumably by Annette von Droste-Hülshoff (partially monogramed "A"), labelled on the lower edge "nach Herde,
