There were four olive oil presses in the village but overlooking the main road is the only one with all its machinery still intact The updated mechanical machinery was purchased in 1946 with a donation sent by a family member who was making his fortune in madagascar The equipment was driven by a diesel engine manufactured by Fielding of Bolton From this the huge drive belts turned the huge milling stones in the hopper
