Arkansas National Guard Soldiers from the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team zero on their 249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) June 6, 2022 at Fort Chaffee, Ark. The SAW is an American adaption of the Belgian FN Minimi. It was introducted in 1984 upon being selected as the most effective out of a line of candidate weapons.
