An east view of the Ponte Vecchio bridge across the Arno river showing the Vasari corridor that runs along the top section.
The Ponte Vecchio is the oldest medieval bridge in Florence crossing the Arno River and noted for having shops (mainly jewellers/souvenir) built on it. On the top (east side) is the Vasari corridor, this private walkway allowed members of the Medici family to walk between the Palazzo Vecchio and the Palzzo Pitti in private.
