The emergency corridor is a clear lane. It has to be formed by vehicle drivers on multi-lane carriageways (with 2 or more lanes) in case of traffic congestion in some European countries (mandatory in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, recommended in Switzerland and Slovenia).
