In the embryos treated with NaSCN, a greater amount of proteins precipitate at a higher concentration of ammonium sulfate (55 to 60% saturation). Embryos after a one-day treatment with NaSCN develop with large notochords and have a far greater quantity of proteins pre- cipitating at higher concentrations of ammonium sulfate (Ranzi and Citterio, 1955a) (Fig. 11).
