Crail Fife
Crail is the most easterly of the line of coastal settlements along the south side of the East Neuk of Fife. Many would also say it is also the most attractive of them, though each has its own unique character. Planes from the airbase took part in the final attack on the Tirpitz in 1944. After the war the airbase was taken over by the Royal Navy and renamed as HMS Bruce.
