Moscow skyline 2. Panoramic skyline of Moscow as viewed from the Patriarch's pedestrian bridge westward. From left to right you can see the following: Gray residential building which was built in 1920th for the Soviet journalists and writers. The distinguished Soviet writer Ilya Ilf lived in this house. The building with the red roof served as a dwelling place for churchmen of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. It serves as the office building now. The gray colored residential building above the red roof was built in the beginning of the 20th century and is known as the House under the wineglass, because one of its towers resembles a wineglass turned upside down. You can see skyscrapers of the International Business Center Moscow-City in the background, and the tall building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to the right. To the right you can see the golden dome of the small bell tower of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Illustrative editorial use only.
