Lime bonding agent used in construction of train tunnels is now dripping from the concrete and forming artistic patterns. Hiawatha Trail, Idaho, USA. This trail covers 15 miles in the Bitterroot Mountains where hikers and bicyclists can go through nine tunnels (the longest, miles) and over seven trestles (the highest, 230 feet). The trail follows the old railroad bed of the Milwaukee Road and has 46 plaques telling of the area's history. It is part of the "Rails to Trails" network. The trail is under the control of the US Forest Service.
