Ronald Reagan Library. Satellite image of the area around the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, in extensive parklands in Simi Valley, California, USA. North is at top. The library is at centre, with Madera Road across bottom and Tierra Rejada Road across top left. The houses at top right and lower right are outlying areas of the town of Simi Valley, which is 40 kilometres north-west of Los Angeles. The library (founded 1991) continues the tradition of libraries as a historical record of a presidency. Ronald Wilson Reagan (1911-2004) was the 40th President of the USA (1981-1989). He was later buried here (grave already prepared, centre right, round white dot). Image taken by the Ikonos satellite on 21 January 2002.
