Eugenas vice-president, the business was trans-ferred to the present proprietors in 1909,the new company having been formed byMr. Edward F. Crawford, the managingdirector, with a capital of $50,000. Thebusiness was the first of its kind in the city,then a very small place, and has grownwith the needs of the town. Originally itpossessed no showrooms, and all stock hadto be kept in a barn out on the prairie. X.
