Service members from Indo-Pacific Command are providing Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and working with Guam and Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands’ civil and local officials for Typhoon Mangkhut recovery efforts. The 31st MEU’s air-ground-logistics team is capable of executing a diverse set of missions from amphibious shipping, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief support to civil authorities.
