Body cast exhibited among the amphorae in the Granaries of the Forum (Granai del Foro) in the archaeological site of Pompeii (Pompei) near Naples, Campania, Italy. Body casts were made by pouring plaster into the hollows left by disintegrated bodies after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
