False-colour pan-oral X-ray. This kind of dental X-ray shows all the teeth and surrounding structures on one whole film. It is useful for finding unerupted or impacted teeth, cysts, jaw fractures, or tumours. The picture is recorded continuously on to film as the camera swings around from one side of the jaw to the other. The bright areas in the crowns of the teeth are fillings.
