The new Gran Vía Metro station has reopened its doors this Friday, July 16, 2021, at 06:00, after having been closed for more than 1,000 days. Now it sports a futuristic appearance that is not only reflected in the cladding, but also in the small details that the user will find in its path, such as the latest generation access lathes. With an investment of million euros, it is expected that 66,000 passengers will pass through this new stop on a daily basis. Whoever does it will find not only a more open and comfortable space, but also a vertical axis with connections between its three new levels. Although what stands out the most is the expansion of the main lobby, which goes from 900 to 2,000 square meters, and the connection with the RENFE de Sol Cercanías. "I know the enthusiasm with which the residents have waited for the reopening of this stop and now what remains is to celebrate that today we have one more point in Metro transport, which is also a treasure of our urban area, "said the president of the Community, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, at the reopening of the new Gran Vía.
