Captive Eastern Screech-Owl, Megascops asio, from the "Last Chance Forever - The Bird of Prey Conservancy" organization in Central Texas. Most rescued and rehabilitated birds are returned to the wild, but this owl's injuries prevent it being released. The owl is used in educational programs conducted to promote better understanding of raptors and their place in ecological balance.
