Ernest and Es (Esmeralda), both from Oxford, surprised Police guarding the Fracking site by arriving at 5am on the 15th October in a modified white Transit type van. The roof had been cut away and a framework of two ladders were erected inside the protruding through the roof space and supporting a long wooden base which was then occupied by Ernest lying full length on the contraption. When Police, (well into the afternoon) erected scaffolding and sent a trained officer to bring him down, he securing himself to the device with two bicycle C locks. One locked around his neck prevented the officer taking further action because of safety concerns. Henry cut out after an incredible 12 hours of resistance
