The large, pure white flowers are among the finest of those that it is possible to cultivate outside of a greenhouse, and you can raise them if you will give the plants a rest from JunetoSeptember, withhold- ing all water, and then repotting in good rich soil. Good growing plants. 10 to 20 cents each according to size. Little Gem Calla. A dwarf sort much smaller than the regular Calla, bearing miniature pure white flowers on stiff stems. 20c each. TH6 CAbbA. No novelty in this class of plants has attracted more attention than the Black Calla and the de- mand for it has been very great. It is a winter or early spring blooming variety, and if it does not bloom by the middle of June, all water should be witheld and the soil in the pot allowed to dry out entirely so that it can rest until September, when it should be repotted and started into growth. The cause of failure with both this and the ordinary Calla is usually the failure to let them rest through the summer. The flowers are really black, ranging from a maroon black to almost dead black, while the spadixis coal black. Good strong plants 15c each; extra large strong ones, 25e each. Cocoloba Plat\?clada.
