Lateral rectus palsy


A photograph of a child with a lateral rectus palsy, which is palsy of the abducens nerve of the eye causing paralysis of the lateral rectus muscle. This is the most common isolated muscle palsy. In this palsy the eye is medially deviated and movement laterally from the midline is not possible.
