Fontana Neptuna (Neptune Fountain) with Dwor Artusa (Artus Court) beyond, Dlugi Targ (Long Market), Gdansk, Pomerania, Poland.


Neptune Fountain was cast in bronze is by Flemish sculptor Peter Husen between 1606 and 1613. It was fenced off in 1634 after a rumour spread that Goldwasser, the Gdansk vodka, was spurting from Neptune's trident. The mythical stone sea creatures were added in the 1750s. The Artus Court was built at the end of the 15 th century, though the facade by Abraham van den Block was not added until the 1610s.
