A repeating air pistol, Crause in Herzberg circa 1830. Round barrel with rifled bore in mm calibre. Side mounted Girardoni system tube magazine. Engraved lock plate and cock with the manufacturer's inscription, "Crause in Herzberg". Engraved brass lock receiver. Walnut stock with a horn nose cap. There is a screw mounted butt stock with air reservoir, intact ray skin covering. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 44 cm. From 1816, Carl Phillip Crause ran the famous gun factory in Herzberg. Cf.
