Fritz Reiche (1883-1969), German physicist. Reiche was a student and colleague of Max Planck and made important contributions to early quantum mechanics. In 1921 he succeeded Erwin Schrodinger as professor of theoretical physics at the University of Breslau. He emigrated to the USA in 1941, where he taught at New York University, and undertook research projects on supersonic flow for NASA and the US Navy.
