ATLANTIC OCEAN (June 3, 2017) Sailors assigned to USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) observe a F/A-18E Super Hornet from the “Fist of the Fleet” Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 25 land on the flight deck of Abraham Lincoln for the first time following the ship’s four-year refueling and complex overhaul. Abraham Lincoln is underway conducting flight deck certification to ensure the ship and air wing is able to safely launch and recover aircraft
