People enjoy daffodils at Warkworth Castle on April 21, 2018 after the Met Office confirmed this week it reached in St James's Park, London, edging closer to breaking the all time record for the UK April maximum temperature of a head of London's Marathon. It was recorded in Eton Dorney, Buckinghamshire, on April 16 1949. Summer forecasts are starting to emerge after one of the worst winters for more than five years saw Britain beset by freezing temperatures and snow into March. Warkworth castle was rebuilt by Henry Percy,Earl of Northumberland in the 1380s.
